The Lesson

Toni Cade Bambara - "The Lottery"

Just had to read this story for my English class.
It was written in 1972, but it still resonates now.
ESPECIALLY now. It deals with the inequality between the rich and the poor.
If you've got some time to burn, and you like reading, give it a go.
